披着铁血皮的反殖民和大女主女权故事，不是说女权和反殖民不好，而是失了本质。作为铁血战士电影，故事是不及格的。可以说是系列最蠢铁血，全身高科技的鲁莽傻大个，像给一头猩猩配上了ak47朝人群哒哒哒而已，最终站被女主贴身肉搏就很离谱，女主的光环比北美棕熊还强，德鲁伊附体了属于是。全程观看并没能像一二前辈系列让观众胆战心惊，没有丝毫惊悚氛围。铁血打印第安人和殖民者甚至让人有科技差距胜之不武之感，完全丢了铁血“武德”的设定。故事的伏笔也落入窠臼，比如说药草降体温和沼泽陷阱，是一眼就能猜到后面剧情会如何发展，也实在是难为编剧了。女权和反殖民视角都不错，特别是语言的角度切换上和外观的塑造上反其道而行把殖民者塑造成了丑陋粗俗肮脏的野蛮人，这点着实新颖。但是，作为铁血故事本身，电影是失格的。
